LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The original Japanese masterpiece. It is perfectly balanced, showcasing the precision of Japanese distilling. The note of sandalwood from the Mizunara is its signature.

The Library Note

Yamazaki is Japan's first and oldest malt distillery, founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii. The 12 Year Old expression is the heart of the range. Its complexity comes from the use of three different cask types: American oak, Spanish Sherry, and Japanese Mizunara.
