LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

A masterclass in Jamaican 'funk' made elegant. It retains the ester-heavy soul of its origin but delivers it with a wood-mellowed grace that is simply world-class.

The Library Note

Crafted by Joy Spence, the first female Master Blender in the spirits industry, Appleton Estate has been producing rum since 1749. The 'Rare Casks' expression is a tribute to the estate's terroir, reflecting the limestone-filtered water and lush vegetation of the valley.

THE PALATE

Deep and complex with dominant flavors of orange peel, roasted coffee, and spicy oak, balanced by a hint of molasses.
