LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The best value in Blanco tequila. It offers a transparency and 'honesty' of flavor that is rare at this price point, making it a favorite for both industry veterans and home enthusiasts.

The Library Note

Produced at El Llano, one of the oldest distilleries in the town of Tequila, Arette is named after the horse that won Mexico's first Olympic gold medal in 1948. The Orendain family uses estate-grown agave from the volcanic lowlands, resulting in a tequila that is earthier and more robust than its highland counterparts.

Sommelier's Perspective

THE NOSE

Vibrant and vegetal. Strong notes of raw agave, white pepper, and a hint of fresh lemon zest.

THE PALATE

Clean and crisp. Flavors of cooked agave and black pepper are balanced by a subtle mineral saltiness and a touch of green olive.

THE FINISH

Medium-short with a refreshing, peppery tingle.
