Founded by James and John Chivas in Aberdeen in 1801, the Chivas Brothers began as a luxury grocery store. They were pioneers in the art of blending, creating a smooth style that became a favorite of Queen Victoria. Chivas 12 is built around the single malt from Strathisla, the oldest operating distillery in the Highlands.
