LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

A masterclass in blending. It is unapologetically sweet and floral, proving that age in whisky doesn't always equal heaviness; it can also equal elegance.

The Library Note

Named after the famous 'Monarch of the Glen' painting which Tommy Dewar bought in 1919. This blend continues the Dewar's tradition of 'double aging'—where the blend is married in oak casks for an additional period after initial blending—smoothing out the rough edges.

Sommelier's Perspective

THE NOSE

Delicate floral notes with honey, golden syrup, and exotic fruit.

THE PALATE

Soft and rounded. Flavors of green apple, fudge, and coconut with a distinct honeyed sweetness.

THE FINISH

Short to medium with a warming vanilla touch.

THE PERFECT SERVE

The 'Golden Dram': Neat or on the rocks. It is approachable enough for beginners but complex enough to be interesting.
