LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The ultimate 'entry-level' premium whiskey. While purists may find it too mellow, its incredible smoothness makes it the perfect choice for those who find the 'burn' of traditional bourbon off-putting.

The Library Note

Introduced in 1988, Gentleman Jack was the first new whiskey from the Jack Daniel's distillery in over 100 years. While No. 7 is filtered once, Gentleman Jack is filtered through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal a second time after aging, removing any remaining harshness and highlighting the sweet, fruity notes.

Sommelier's Perspective

THE NOSE

Soft and sweet. Dominant aromas of vanilla and caramel with a distinct hint of banana and honey.

THE PALATE

Exceptionally light and approachable. Flavors of brown sugar and maple syrup are balanced by a gentle oakiness and a touch of spice.

THE FINISH

Short and remarkably clean with a lingering sweetness of silk and caramel.
