The Library Note
Originally produced for the Mitchell family wine merchants in Dublin, who would send their empty sherry casks to the distillery to be filled. They marked the casks with spots of paint to indicate age—Green Spot was the 10-year. It survived the collapse of the Irish whiskey industry to become a cult icon.
