LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The purist's choice. Herradura's commitment to natural fermentation and brick-oven roasting results in a Tequila that feels 'old world'—earthy, complex, and unashamedly agave-forward.

The Library Note

Produced at Casa Herradura, one of Mexico's most historic distilleries, this 'Silver' is actually aged for 45 days in American white oak barrels—just enough to soften the edges without losing the vibrant agave character. It is the only major brand that uses 100% naturally fermented yeasts, a process that takes much longer but creates a deeper, earthier spirit.

Sommelier's Perspective

THE NOSE

Earthy and inviting. Strong scents of cooked agave are complemented by fresh white peach and a hint of green pepper.

THE PALATE

Rich and full-bodied. Distinct notes of citrus and herbal fennel are balanced by a sophisticated minerality and a touch of oak vanilla.

THE FINISH

Invigorating and warm with a lingering peppery spice.

THE PERFECT SERVE

The 'Horseshoes Neat': Served in a Riedel Tequila glass. The 45-day aging makes it one of the few blanco-style tequilas that is rewarding to sip neat at room temperature.
