The Library Note
Created by Justerini & Brooks in the 1930s specifically to appeal to the American palate after the repeal of Prohibition, J&B Rare was designed to be lighter and more accessible than many of the heavy, peaty whiskies of the time. Its distinctive yellow label and green bottle became synonymous with the jazz-age party scene.
THE PERFECT SERVE
The 'Rare' Soda: 1.5 oz J&B, top with cold soda water and a lemon twist. This serve highlights the blend's fruity brightness and was the intended way to consume it during its global rise.
