The Library Note
Founded by John Jameson in 1780, this whiskey was originally one of the 'Big Six' Dublin spirits. Today, it is produced at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork, where it continues the tradition of triple distillation—a process that gives Irish whiskey its famous silkiness compared to the double-distilled scotch.
THE PERFECT SERVE
The 'Jameson & Ginger': Fill a tall glass with ice, add 2 oz Jameson, top with high-quality ginger ale, and squeeze in a large lime wedge. The lime's acidity perfectly cuts through the whiskey's vanilla sweetness.
