The Library Note
Founded in 1795 by Jose María Guadalupe de Cuervo, the distillery was the first in Mexico to receive an official permit to produce tequila. Today, the 10th-generation family-run business produces Especial Gold at La Rojeña, the oldest active distillery in Latin America.
