LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

Proof that sweet sherry can be serious. It has the complexity of a great aged spirit with the drinkability of a fine wine.

The Library Note

In the 17th century, ship captains discovered that casks of sherry carried as ballast to the East Indies improved dramatically in the heat and motion of the ship. Lustau recreates this by aging a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez in a special solera located in the warmest part of the bodega.
