The Library Note
Named as a tribute to the malt men who, in the old days, would turn the malting barley by hand. This physical labor often caused a strain injury that made their arm hang low like a monkey's—hence the name. Today, it represents a break from the stuffy traditions of scotch, offering a liquid that is as comfortable in a cocktail as it is neat.
THE PERFECT SERVE
The 'Ginger Monkey': 2 oz Monkey Shoulder, top with spicy ginger ale, and a large orange wedge. The orange zest highlights the malt's citrus notes perfectly.
Composition
EXPERT TECHNIQUE
A 'triple' malt blend of Balvenie, Glenfiddich, and Kininvie, matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks.
