The Library Note
The Oban distillery was established in 1794, even before the town of the same name grew around it. Using just two small pear-shaped pot stills, it remains one of Scotland's smallest and most traditional distilleries. Its 14-year-old expression is a legendary bridge between the sweet Highland style and the smoky, briny whiskies of the islands.
THE PERFECT SERVE
Sipped neat in a heavy glass. The complexity of Oban 14 reveals itself slowly, moving from rich fruit to dry smoke, and is best appreciated without ice.
Composition
EXPERT TECHNIQUE
Slow distillation in small copper stills, followed by 14 maturation in a coastal environment that infuses the spirit with a distinct maritime character.
