LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The bartender's rye. It is cleaner and slightly sweeter than high-rye mash bills, making it incredibly versatile and absolutely essential for New Orleans classics.

The Library Note

Named after the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans (birthplace of the Sazerac cocktail), this rye represents the classic pre-Prohibition style: spicy, crisp, and herbaceous. It is produced at Buffalo Trace and is the little brother to the ultra-rare Sazerac 18.

THE PALATE
