The Library Note
In 2009, Sipsmith became the first copper-pot distillery to open in London in nearly 200 years, successfully challenging a centuries-old law that required a minimum still size. Produced in Hammersmith, this gin is distilled in 'one shot'—meaning the botanicals are never added as a concentrate—resulting in a spirit of extraordinary balance and clarity.
THE PERFECT SERVE
The 'Sipsmith Martini': 5 parts Gin, 1 part Dry Vermouth. Stir with ice for 30 seconds. Strain into a frozen coupe and garnish with a lemon twist. Its rich, 'one-shot' texture makes it the perfect candidate for a classic, bracing Martini.
Composition
EXPERT TECHNIQUE
Small-batch distillation in copper pot stills using ten traditional botanicals (including Macedonian juniper and Seville orange peel). Only the 'heart' of the run is taken.
