LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The yardstick for all other V.S.O.P. cognacs. It possesses a structural integrity that makes it equally rewarding as a neat sipper or as the backbone of the world's most sophisticated cocktails.

The Library Note

Created in 1817 at the request of the будущего King George IV of the United Kingdom, who wanted a 'Very Superior Old Pale' cognac. Since then, the master blenders at Hennessy have worked to maintain its signature consistency, blending over 60 different eaux-de-vie to create a spirit of extraordinary balance.

Sommelier's Perspective

THE NOSE

Succulent and spicy. Notes of vanilla, clove, and cinnamon are followed by delicate toasted oak and a hint of fresh grapes.

THE PALATE

Natural balance and strength. A smooth entry of honey and spice gives way to a complex structure of fruit and light tobacco.

THE FINISH

Long and elegant with a persistent warmth of wood spice.
