LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The elegant choice. If you find other cognacs too heavy or woody, Hine is a revelation. It is pure finesse, proving that brandy can be as delicate as a fine perfume.

The Library Note

Thomas Hine, an Englishman from Dorset, arrived in France in 1791 during the Revolution. He married into a cognac family and transformed the house. Hine specializes in Petite and Grande Champagne cognacs, aging its spirits in finer grain wood and often shipping casks to the UK for 'early landed' aging, a unique tradition.
