The Library Note
Produced by the Luxardo family since 1821. Unlike sweet cherry liqueurs, this is distilled from the pits, fruit, and leaves of the sour Marasca cherry, then aged in ash wood vats. It is one of the few liqueurs that is distilled, not just infused, giving it a crystal clear color and a dry, sharp flavor.
THE PERFECT SERVE
The 'Aviation': 2 oz Gin, 0.5 oz Maraschino, 0.5 oz Lemon Juice, 0.25 oz Violette. The Luxardo provides the structural 'spine' of the drink, adding a level of depth that sugar syrup cannot recreate.
