LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

The gold standard for gold rum. It is a technical triumph of balance—light enough for mixing but possessing an aromatic complexity that rewards those who pay attention.

The Library Note

With a lineage dating back to 1703, Mount Gay is the world's oldest commercial rum distillery. 'Eclipse' was named in honor of the passage of Halley's Comet and a total solar eclipse in 1910. It is the traditional spirit of sailors and the definitive expression of Barbados craftsmanship.
