LIBRARIAN'S VERDICT

A modern masterpiece. It proved that fruit-infused spirits could be serious, complex, and utterly delicious. It is arguably the most successful new rum product of the last decade.

The Library Note

Created by Master Blender Alexandre Gabriel and cocktail historian David Wondrich, this is not a sweet flavored rum. It is made by infusing the bark of Victoria pineapples in white rum and the fruit in dark rum, then distilling and blending them. It elevated the entire category of 'flavored rum' to a connoisseur level.

Sommelier's Perspective

THE NOSE

A bouquet of tropical fruit. Authentic aromas of ripe pineapple, smoke, clove, and banana.

THE PALATE

Rich and oily. The pineapple flavor is roasted and caramelized rather than candy-sweet, balanced by heavy notes of rum, spice, and molasses.

THE FINISH

Long and smoky with a lingering tropical fruit note.

THE PERFECT SERVE

The 'Pineapple Daiquiri': 2 oz Stiggins' Fancy, 1 oz lime juice, 0.5 oz simple syrup. The rum adds such depth that it needs nothing more than lime and sugar to sing.
